CAN & CAN'T DO with the PURO Bottles
PURO products may only be used for their intended purpose.
- Washing PURO bottles in the dishwasher is not recommended in order to avoid damage to the coating.
- In order to ensure a 100% airtight seal, we recommend that you do not overfill the bottle and make sure that the cap is closed properly.
- Avoid shaking your PURO bottles, particularly when using them with hot, carbonated drinks, to avoid creating excessive pressure.
- When using your bottle with hot drinks, remember to keep the products out of the reach of children.
- Do not put your PURO bottle in the freezer or fridge. Liquids will tend to freeze and expand, damaging the bottle.
- All PURO bottles are made of stainless steel, so they cannot be used in the microwave.
How to clean my PURO bottle
The cleaning of Puro bottles is very simple, but we recommend cleaning after each use to maintain optimal hygiene. We suggest rinsing the bottle with warm water, especially if it is used to store a liquid other than water.
You can simply use warm water and mild soap or a mixture of warm water, vinegar and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda for a more natural alternative.
Once washed, allow the products to dry upside down and without the cap.
Small stains may form on the inside of the bottle due to continued use, particularly with coffee or black tea, but this will not change the safety of the product.
Can I wash my Puro bottle in the dishwasher?
The non-coloured stainless steel Steel finish bottles are dishwasher safe. You can choose between the Hot&Cold in 250, 500 and 1000ml sizes, which keeps your drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24.
For all other coloured bottles washing in the dishwasher is not recommended to avoid damaging the coating.
N.B. Any deformation or defects resulting from dishwasher washing will void the warranty.
Are all PURO bottles thermal?
Yes, all PURO bottles are specially designed to insulate drinks and maintain their temperature.
All models – HOT&COLD, SMART and ICON, OUTDOOR – are equipped with a double-walled stainless steel vacuum technology that allows drinks to stay hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours without additional accessories.
Only the Marvel and Disney special editions are single-walled and therefore non-thermal. They keep the drinks at temperature for about 3/4 hours.
Can I put the PURO bottles in the freezer?
PURO bottles must NEVER be placed in the freezer or left in a freezing condition, as this would damage the bottle and its thermal capacity.
Any deformation of the bottle resulting from this type of negligence will also invalidate the guarantee.
Does PURO form condensation on bottles?
Each PURO bottle has an insulated double wall, so the outside of its body will remain at room temperature, regardless of the temperature of its contents, whether frozen or boiling.
What paints are used to cover the bottles?
PURO uses only food-approved acrylic resin paints that are free of lead and other toxic chemicals, because safety comes first.
If dropped, the bottle may be dented, but you will never have to worry about its safety: even if dented, your stainless steel bottle will continue to serve you for a long time, never releasing chemicals or toxic substances into your drinks.
Are PURO bottles suitable for all types of drinks?
Of course! Unlike aluminium and plastic bottles, the stainless steel we use to produce our reusable bottles is naturally uncoated and is ideal for holding and maintaining all kinds of liquids. Aluminium is not suitable for contact with food and drink (especially hot and acidic drinks) as it is highly toxic.

Is stainless steel safe?
We want to make sure that our products are completely safe to use, which is why we spare no effort when it comes to safety.
All PURO bottles are made of 18/8 stainless steel, which is naturally safe and requires no further processes to make it harmless in contact with food and drink. This is because it is much more stable than other materials: aluminium, for example, can quickly corrode with harmful results in contact with acidic, carbonated or hot drinks.
Can I take my PURO bottle on the plane?
Of course! But it is important to empty it before the security checks at the airport. Afterwards, you can fill it up in the gate area and take it with you on board.
Can I put a PURO bottle in the microwave?
No, all PURO bottles are made of stainless steel, so they cannot be used in the microwave oven.
