FAQ for bottles

CAN & CAN'T DO of PURO bottles

Puro products should only be used for their intended purposes.
  • Washing PURO bottles in the dishwasher is not recommended to avoid damaging the paintwork.
  • To ensure a 100% airtight seal, we recommend that you do not overfill and ensure that the cap is closed properly.
  • Avoid shaking PURO bottles, especially when using them with hot and carbonated drinks, to avoid creating excessive pressure.
  • When using your bottle with hot drinks, remember to keep the products out of reach of children.
  • Do not put PURO bottles in the freezer or refrigerator. In fact, the liquids will tend to freeze and expand, damaging the bottle.
  • All PURO bottles are made of stainless steel, so they cannot be used in the microwave.

How to clean my PURO bottle

Cleaning Puro bottles is very simple, but we recommend doing it after each use to maintain an optimal level of hygiene. We suggest rinsing the bottle with hot water, especially if used to store a liquid other than water. You can simply use warm water and mild soap or a mixture of warm water, vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda for a more natural alternative. Once washed, leave the products to dry upside down and without the cap. It may happen that small stains form on the inside of the bottle due to continuous use, especially with coffee or black tea, but this will not change the safety of the product.

Can I wash my Puro bottle in the dishwasher?

The bottles with Steel finish in uncoloured stainless steel are dishwasher safe. You can choose between the Hot&Cold in 250, 500 and 1000ml sizes, which keep your drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24. For all other colored bottles, washing in the dishwasher is not recommended to avoid damaging the paint. NB Any deformations or defects resulting from washing in the dishwasher will void the warranty.

Are all PURO bottles thermal?

Yes, all PURO bottles are specially designed to insulate drinks and maintain their temperature. All models - HOT&COLD, SMART and ICON, OUTDOOR - are equipped with a double wall in stainless steel with vacuum technology that allows drinks to stay hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours without additional accessories. Only the Marvel and Disney special editions are single-walled and therefore not thermal. They keep drinks at temperature for about 3/4 hours.

Can I put PURO bottles in the freezer?

PURO bottles should NEVER be placed in the freezer or left in freezing conditions, as this will damage the bottle and its thermal capacity. Any deformation of the bottle resulting from this type of negligence will also void the warranty.

Does condensation form on PURO bottles?

Each PURO bottle has a double insulated wall, so the outside of its body will remain at room temperature, regardless of the temperature of its contents, whether they are ice cold or boiling hot.

What paints are used to cover bottles?

PURO uses only resin-based acrylic paints, approved for food use, free of lead and other toxic chemicals, because safety comes first. NB If dropped, the bottle risks denting, but you will never have to worry about its safety: even if dented, your stainless steel bottle will continue to serve you for a long time, without ever releasing chemicals or toxins into your drinks.

Are PURO bottles suitable for all types of drinks?

Of course! Unlike aluminum and plastic bottles, the stainless steel we use to produce our reusable bottles is naturally uncoated and is ideal for holding and maintaining all types of liquids. Aluminum is not suitable for contact with food and drinks (especially hot and acidic ones), as it is highly toxic. Our stainless steel bottle collections are made of 100% high quality 18/8 stainless steel, are BPA free and can naturally hold any type of beverage, hot or cold, acidic or carbonated, without imparting any flavor or releasing harmful substances.

Is stainless steel safe?

We want to make sure that our products are completely safe to use, that's why we spare no effort when it comes to safety. All PURO bottles are made of 18/8 stainless steel, which is naturally safe and does not require any further processing to be made harmless for contact with food and drinks. This is because it is much more stable than other materials: aluminum, for example, can corrode quickly with harmful results when in contact with acidic, carbonated or hot drinks.

Can I take my PURO bottle on the plane?

Sure! It is important to empty it before the airport security checks. After that, you can fill it up at the gate area and take it with you on board.

Can I put a PURO bottle in the microwave?

No, all PURO bottles are made of stainless steel, so they cannot be used in the microwave.
